In our constant search for tradition and quality, we have found a new coffee that's origin has closer tradition and heritage to Haus Rohrbach than you might think. While our new coffee is 100% Organic Nicaraguan Coffee, it just so happens that it is not a world apart from us. This fine coffee, grown at high altitude, in the rich soil of Nicaragua and irrigated by natural springs, is from the family of one of Haus Rohrbach's first guests and longest returning families, the Sinclairs. This family returns to Haus Rohrbach every New Year for a 4 day re-union to share in their thanksgivings. In 2007 we found out that the youngest of the ten children, Joe and his wife Katia, are proprietors of a family coffee plantation. Their micro-roaster is Philip Meech who takes great care to ensure that the sugars in the beans are not over-developed so that their natural sweetness remains intact!
